Electrical Design

The Lee Air Engineering Team focuses closely to design the absolute best solution for your Aircraft System, Power Electronics and Control requirements.  Quick iteration design and prototype capability yields work motivation and innovation. Design Team Experience

  • Embedded software design (assembly & C): PIC, 8051, 68HC11
  • Avionics buses: 1553, ARINC 429
  • RF wireless control design
  • High current 85 Amp Solid State Contactor design
  • CPLD, PLD design
  • Testing & Qualification per RTCA/DO-160, DO-254
  • PCB layout, schematic capture
  • Brush and Brushless DC motor controllers (BLDC) and servo amplifiers for use with electro-mechanical systems for aerospace and military applications
  • Analog design experience including switched power circuit design through 15kW including HIRF and lightning protection per MIL-STD-461 and RTCA/DO-160 and printed circuit board design in heavy copper through 12 layers
  • Software experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK, PSPICE, ALTIUM and ORCAD
  • Digital design experience using embedded microprocessors and digital signal processors (DSP) programmed in Assembler and C
  • Software development process in accordance with RTCA/DO-178
  • System experience in design and development of electro-mechanical actuators with integrated electronics including a digital power drive unit (PDU) based flap system, multi-actuator synchronized digital flap system, hydraulic servo drive, flight control actuator, generator controller and landing gear actuators
  • Reliability predictions per MIL-STD-217, FMEA and fault trees
